"Restoring relationships with God and one another."
The Reading and Study of Scripture at Reconciliation
The
Church of Reconciliation follows a discipline of reading from Scripture
that takes us through the whole Bible over a period of two or three
years. On Sundays we follow a three year cycle of readings, and on
weekdays we follow a two year cycle. Much of our scriptural study and
devotional life is related to these cycles of readings which we follow
together.
Preparation for Lectors and the Public Reading of Scripture
Dear
Layreader,
You are scheduled take part in our service this coming
Sunday. By clicking on either one of the attached links you will find
the Revised Common Lectionary readings. This will enable you to study
and practice the readings ahead of time. Each site provides the option
of printing the readings. Please let me know if you find this helpful
and how well it works for you.
In addition you will find
Form VI of the Prayers of the People for the Prayer Lector and also for
each of you so you can be better prepared to lift up your own
thanksgivings and prayers during our service.
The Lectionary Page This site has a calendar. Just go the Sunday you are scheduled to read and click on the Proper to bring up the readings.
The Anglican Diocese of Montreal Comments Page On
this site scroll down to the bottom and click on the readings and/or
commentary. If you wish you can also print your reading and/or
commentary. The commentaries help to increase my understanding and in
turn help make the reading more meaningful.
Prayers of the People (UNDER CONSTRUCTION) On this page you can view and print the form currently used for the Prayers of the People on Sunday mornings.
